In the year 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party won and formed the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi. On May 26, PM Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister for the first time. In this nine-year tenure, PM Modi took many such decisions and did many such things which will always be remembered.

Surgical Strike (2016)

Terrorists attacked the brigade headquarters of the Indian Army at Uri camp in Jammu and Kashmir. 18 soldiers of India were martyred. Just 10 days after this attack, revenge was taken from Pakistan which was named as surgical strike.

In the year 2016 itself, another such decision of the Modi government came which shook the whole country. On November 8, 2016, at 8 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country and at 12 midnight, 500 and 1000 notes were taken out of circulation.

The GST was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function held in the Central Hall of Parliament on the intervening night of 30 June and 1 July.

Article 370
On 5 August 2019, most of the clauses of Article 370 of the Constitution were abolished which provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, after removing the separate flag of Jammu and Kashmir, now the tricolor started hoisting in the government offices there. Article 370 was also a big decision of the government.
